It's been a while
Well I guess I should post now...I admit I have been putting it off because at first I didn't really have anything interesting to write, but then stuff started happening and it all kind of piled up so that now I just don't want to write because there is SO MUCH to say! But I guess it is time...
Wow I haven't posted since August 1st so I guess I will catch you up from there. On August 5th, I went down to Virginia to meet up with Kelly, Shannon and Larissa so that we could all go to MK camp in SC together. I was just happy that we would all be together, I didn't really care if we went to camp or not, until I got there. This camp was AMAZING! I can't even tell you how wonderful it was....all 19 of us bonded so well and had such a great time together. The sessions were great, we got to try some new things like paint ball and the zipline and made a ton of wonderful memories. We all also got some pretty nice war wounds...I think I won with the most bruises though! It's really pretty awesome how God bonded us in 9 days. I can honestly say that I have never gotten to know people or let them get to know me as well as quickly as I did at MK camp.
Then we came back to the "real" world.....which is SO hard to do once you have experienced closeness like that. But once you jump back in, it's ok. I still had a few more weeks of freedom until the "big day", so those were pretty much full of work and boredom. School officially started on Sept. 6. And Praise God it was a good day. I was pretty nervous the night before but I prayed for peace and that entire day I didn't feel nervous, out of place sometimes, but not nervous. So far I like all my classes...although some I know are going to be challenging. I really haven't made any friends yet, but most seniors already have a group of friends so it's going to be hard. And I know, to make a friend you have to be a friend....blah blah blah but it's really not that easy sometimes especially for me because I don't like to push my way in or make people feel like they are obligated to be my friend. Oh well I'll figure something out. So as not to end this on a sad note, IT'S FRIDAY! YAY!!!!!!! So here I go to hopefully enjoy a relaxing weekend. ~Kait
